“I interviewed three different design firms when I moved to New Jersey in 2004. I hired J Stephens Interiors to design just 3 rooms for me. I was so thrilled with the outcome, I wound up hiring them to design every room in the entire house! This was not an easy task. Our home was historically significant, but it had fallen into the hands of previous owners with just plain bad taste. The design project included major renovation, space planning, furniture purchases, wall and window treatment, etc etc. My taste is best described as modern traditional with an Asian influence! J Stephens was a firm that could somehow take my design taste and transform my house to exactly as I wished it to be! And that is a gift! Some designers will impose their taste on clients but I wanted a designer that could understand my taste and use that in the design.
